  • It Ends With Us - Collen Hoover

    Rating: 4.8 Stars

    Favorite Quotes:

“Just because someone hurts you doesn't mean you can simply stop loving them. It's not a person's actions that hurt the most. It's the love. If there was no love attached to the action, the pain would be a little easier to bear.”

“There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things.”

This book was something that I could not stop thinking about for days after reading. It gave me such insight on what it’s like to be in the mind of a girl living through abusive family and relationship cycles. It was heartbreaking, funny, and inspirational at the same time.

  • Norwegian Wood - Haruki Murakami

    Rating: 4 Stars

    Some of my favorite quotes:

“If you only read the books that everyone else is reading, you can only think what everyone else is thinking.”

“What happens when people open their hearts?- They get better.”

Norwegian Wood was a very magical read that I would recommend to anyone. It is about a boy named Toru who leaves his town after a horrible tragedy and starts a new life at a university. He is a serious and deep thinker- and he enjoys reading classics. The book follows his journey to adulthood - isolation on campus, loving someone who doesn’t love him back, and grief. The ending makes it all worth it.
